Achieving common prosperity stands as the core goal and mission of the Communist Party of China (CPC), with rural vitalization and farmers’ well-being constituting pivotal priorities in this pursuit. Over the past century, the CPC has systematically and unwaveringly advanced the cause of common prosperity in rural regions, guided by a multidimensional logic framework encompassing theoretical, practical, cultural, and political party-related dimensions. The theoretical logic in the new era centers on grounding efforts in Marxist principles of common prosperity while adapting these tenets through the Sinicization of Marxism to align with China’s national context and contemporary challenges. Practically, advancing rural common prosperity reflects the intrinsic essence of socialism, epitomizes a hallmark of Chinese path to modernization, and serves as a strategic imperative for addressing China’s principal social contradictions. Culturally, revitalizing the “common prosperity” ethos embedded in traditional Chinese culture provides a deep wellspring of spiritual motivation and collective will. Politically, this endeavor embodies the CPC’s founding mission, underscores its value-driven commitments to equity and inclusiveness, and showcases its institutional capacity to orchestrate systemic reform.
